Diamond Ambassador: Whitney Fitzsimmons

We are excited to announce Whitney Fitzsimmons (Host of ABC's Business Today) as Diamond Ambassador for Project 200.

Whitney is a well known face across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. She has been a presenter with Australia Network for the past seven years and she has interviewed key business leaders, politicians and analysts.

During her nine years at the ABC Whitney has presented a wide variety of programs including Lateline Business, The Midday Report and The World. She was also a senior producer for the ABC's award winning national current affairs program, Lateline.

Whitney is featured in the current edition of Who’s Who of Australian Women and is the recipient of a 2009 Jefferson Fellowship from the East West Centre and a 2008 Asia Pacific Journalism Centre Fellowship.

Whitney is passionate about the Arts and regularly reviews theatre productions for Stage Whispers, Timeout and Alternative Media.

She is also an accomplished artist and held her first solo exhibition in 2010. Her work focuses on abstracts using bold colours, shapes and textures.  In 2007 she won the “People’s Choice Award” at the annual “Amnesty International Freedom Awards”, for her piece “The Road to Sedition”, which looked at the political and humanitarian issues surrounding refugee detainment at Guantanamo Bay.
